Dear DirectTV
I know we had a rocky start but I really am trying to like you. I like that I can see the tv guide and get HBO in my room which I couldn't before with time warner. I like that the dvr space is huge and that I can control the dvr with my phone. But the fact that after ONE storm my internet/some channels go out for FOUR DAYS is something that I really can't handle. Being in an area that gets a lot of storms both in the summer and the winter I can already tell that we're going to have a long and bumpy relationship. Also you're customer service people could use a bit of work...the fact that I have to leave a message with someone to have a totally different person call me back from an unknown number just so they can say that someone might or might not be out in the next 3 days or so kinda annoys me. It also sketches me out. So please DirectTv get your act together before I'm forced to move out of the apartment that I love just so that I can get decent internet and cable (I'm only half kidding about this.)

What I've Been Up To
Because I've been mia from the blog world for such a long time I probably owe you all an explanation of what I've been up to. Since my last real post (not inluding Monday's) I've moved to Cleveland, moved in with my roommate, and started my new job. The move went pretty well, except for one small issue (which contributed to my absence)... our apartment didn't have internet for TWO weeks. Let's just say that the service people at Direct TV and I went through a very LONG rough patch but it all worked out eventually. I never realized how much I depended on the internet until I didn't have it for a while...hmmmm maybe that's something that I should work on!
I absolutely LOVE my new apartment...it's pretty big (for a first aparment at least) and I have my own bedroom and bathroom which is great. The location is fantastic and my office recently moved downtown so I can walk to work now. I'm also loving living with my new roomie S even though she and I are the total and complete opposites. Like literally everything I like, she usually doesn't and vice versa. But weirdly enough we get along REALLY well and I absolutely love living with her. She's a ton of fun to go out with and it's great having an automatic friend in a city where neither one of us know that many people.
And now last but not least...I love my job! I'm doing a bunch of different things right now but I'm learning a ton, and I'm starting to understand everything that's being taught to me which is even better haha. The people in my office are fantastic but in the beginning I was definitely having flashbacks to freshman year of college...I hate being the new kid. I'm starting to get to know more people in the office though, and everyone has been amazing in helping my transition go relatively smoothly. So there you go...that's been my life for the past couple weeks. Now that everything's slowing back down look for more posts, and more comments from me. Have a great Thursday night!

Happy Summer!
I can't believe that (once again) I haven't blogged in forever and now it's the first official day of summer. So many crazy and exciting have been happening lately that I've completely lost track of everything and have abandoned both my blog and my reader. I PROMISE that things are starting to return back to normal and I'll let you all know what's been going on in my life in the next post. So in honor of the first day of summer (and National Wear Lilly Day which I had NO idea about) here are some things that I'm looking forward to this summer:
- spending time with friends on the 4th of July
- seeing my family at the end of July
- spending more time by the lake
- relaxing on our deck on my building's roof
-enjoying this hot but gorgeous weather
How has your summer been going so far, and what are you most looking forward to?

It's JUNE!!
Wow how did it get to be the beginning of June ALREADY? I can't believe that I've been out of school for a month and I'm moving TOMORROW. This year is already going by WAY too fast for me. For some reason out of all of the summer months I think June is my favorite mainly because it's the very beginning of summer and the weather's still (somewhat) cool. Right after the 4th of July I usually get sick of the hot weather and just want fall to come! This month I have a TON of fun things happening, the biggest being my move and the start of my new job on Monday. Then in two weeks I'm going to Cedar point with my great-grand big and to her lake house for the weekend. I LOVE amusement parks and Cedar point is the best so it will be a great weekend!
My Memorial Day weekend was fantastic and included a lot of laying out, grilling out, and hanging out with family and friends. I also saw Sex and the City 2 not once but twice, with my best friend C on Friday, and then with my mom and a family friend on Saturday. Although I liked the movie A LOT more when I saw it the second time I still wasn't completely impressed and thought the first one was a lot better. I loved the first 45 minutes of the movie but thought that it kind of fell apart when they went on vacation. Also, Carrie annoyed me through most of the movie and I found myself liking Miranda a lot more, which is weird because I couldn't stand Miranda through most of the show and Carrie (along with Charlotte) was always my favorite. I still had an amazing time both times I saw it and would still recommend it!
Given that today is my last day home, and I'm sitting on my couch writing this/ re-watching the finale of Gossip Girl instead of doing the 8 million things I need to get done I think I'm going to end it here. I'm off to run a ton of boring errands and pack but I hope that you all have a much better day!
xoxo
