Yuck

Ugh. I woke up this morning feeling like complete crap and I can't decide if it's allergies or a cold (and I also haven't ruled out Swine Flu or Ebola but if you read my last post you'll know why!) but whatever it is it's NOT fun! Normally I wouldn't care so much but I have a BIG weekend planned with Harry Potter, margaritas, my town's BIG summer sidewalk sales and a trip to Six Flags so I will NOT be sick! To combat whatever this is I've decided to skip Jillian and am sitting on the couch being a bum and watching reruns of Lost....which is actually very nice and relaxing!

I have no idea what it is, but something about being a little under the weather while at home makes me act and feel like a complete five year again. I asked my mom about 5 times this morning if she thought it would be ok if I called in sick to work (she said absolutely not so off I went...grrrrr) and I asked my mom what I should take to get rid of my cough (how bout cough syrup...duh!) I seriously completely forget to take care of myself when I'm at home which is probably not that great but it is nice to have my mom around to ask her stupid questions! 

As I mentioned last night my Revas came in last night and they are AMAZING!! They are also slightly too big (I forgot that I wear and 8.5 instead of a 9 in revas) but for the price I got I really don't care. Yay I am so happy and I can't wait for my pink ones to come in too....I will def share pictures when those come! I think that's about it...nothing else really exciting happened today. I am SO happy that this week is over and I can't believe that I only have one more week in my internship until I'm done...wow this summer has FLOWN by! I don't know if I'll post anymore until sunday so if I don't I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend!!

A (Very Belated) Thank You!

I've been the worst blogger to not post this sooner but on Friday the lovely Shoshanna over at From L.A to LA gave me the Premium Meme 2009 Award...yay thank you SO much Shoshanna!!  The rules are: "To accept this award, the recipient must list 7 traits about myself and then pass the award onto 7 other bloggers who deserve recognition for the personality they share through their blog."

Sorry this post is so late today...right when I got home from work I did level 2 of the shred (which I like ALOT more although it's still killing me haha) and my mom and I went to dinner with C (my bff) and her mom (my mom's bff) at The Cottage tonight which was so much fun and sooo delish! I am SO happy that it's wednesday which means that this week is almost over and can't WAIT for the weekend!! 

My other big news is that MY REVAS CAME TODAY!!!!! (pictures coming tomorrow) and I may or may not have (emphasis on may) won a pair of the Jelly Revas (which are cute but DEF not worth 95 however I got a REALLLLY good deal on them) on ebay tonight which I am so excited for so I will post pictures of those too when they come! Oh and I def need to stop my ebay addiction. So off to bed right now...I don't know what it is but I have a constant tickle in my throat and it's so annoying/making me tired!

Hopping on the Ebay Bandwagon

Well I've avoided it for a VERY long time but with my shopping addiction we all knew this day would come...I've officially become ADDICTED to ebay. However as a (very cheap) newbie I've only bid on one item (that I lost out on booo) and am watching like 800 others but one item I have my eye on (I don't want to say it to jinx it haha) ends tonight so you all might be getting another post from me sharing my great steal! My mom is an ebay fanatic so she's given me some great advice but I'm always up for more so if there are some secrets to ebay that you want to share let me know! 

I basically did nothing this weekend which was exactly what I wanted and it was SO relaxing! This was the first weekend that I was home in 2 weeks so it was so nice to spend it with my family and enjoy the nice weather! Friday was the most BEAUTIFUL day so I spent the entire day laying out, and then meeting up with Jillian before going to one of my favorite restaurants in town for dinner. My family has been going there for years, basically ever since its opened so we know everyone there including the chefs haha and its always nice because at the end of the night everyone usually sits down with us and it is so much fun!! 

Saturday I worked in the morning and then my dad and I went to sail boston to see the tall ships in the harbor. It was SOOO much fun...these ships apparently only come once every couple years and yesterday was my first time seeing the ships. My dad and I had such a great time together walking around and looking at the beautiful ships and the weather was perfect as well. We didn't end up going out last night but grilled out and ate in the backyard and then watching the Sox KILL the KC Royals which officially puts them 2.5 games above the Yankees WOOHOO! After that I watched the movie Contact with Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey that I DVRed on TNT....I first watched that movie in my 11th grade astronomy class (don't ask me why haha) but I forgot how much I liked it! It's SUPER cheesy and it's funny to laugh at the 90s clothes but the idea is really interesting. Today I'm stuck working while my parents and dog are going to Rockport but tonight we're meeting up with my dad's godson J and his roommate for dinner which should be fun before watching True Blood and Entourage which will be the perfect end to a GREAT weekend!

Naples!

I hope everyone is having a great week! Nothing too exciting happening right now...after my shopping spree at Frugal Fannies I was bad and went to TJ Maxx and Target yesterday and found some really cute stuff! At TJ I found an awesome Matty M navy maxi dress which I think I'm going to take with me to DC this weekend and at Target I found the Tracy Feith white zip up dress which will be SO cute for this weekend as well! After DC I'm DEF going to have to slow down on shopping for a while!

Enough Already!!

Ugh I think I can speak for everyone in the Boston/New York/New England region when I say ENOUGH ALREADY with this rain!! I really don't think I can take anymore of this and hopefully the weather people are right and this will stop by Wednesday! I'm going to DC this weekend with S so hopefully the weather will be nice there! 

Despite the gross weather my weekend was GREAT! Friday C and I as well as a couple of my HS friends got together for L, one of my bff's 21st birthday! It was SO much fun...we went to this amazing restaurant called La Summa in the North End and then bar hopped around the Faneuil Hall area. Oh man if you are ever in the area PLEASE go to La Summa....seriously some of the BEST Italian food I've ever had and it wasn't that expensive either! I had the Gnocci (sp?) which was so delish, but I tried everyone else's too and everything there was just great! We wanted to head over to Mike's Pastry after for some birthday cannolis but were so full we skipped them and headed to the bars!

The weather cleared just in time to go out and it wasn't too humid either which made it such a great evening! The first three pics are a couple touristy pictures I took while walking to the restaurant. Even though I go to this area fairly often it was way too nice out not to take a couple pictures!!

After waking up on Saturday morning at L's apartment and feeling a little, um, ROUGH haha I headed off to work in the boutique for the day which was somewhat interesting because I was SOOO tired! That night I decided to take it somewhat easy and went to see the Proposal with my family. OMG it was GREAT!! Ryan Renolds and Sandra Bullock were adorable and it was the funniest, cutest movie! Definitely one for the DVD collection! It was also fun because the theater where we saw it has dinner and drinks for you while you watch the movie which was lots of fun as well! 

Yesterday I had to work (boo) but before I headed to Frugal Fannies to check out the Molly B close out sale (KLC also mentioned this on her blog) We sell Molly B at my store and although the company still exists the stuff at Frugal Fannies is from her old warehouse which she sold to new people.  OMG if you are AT ALL in the are PLEASE GO NOW! Your closet will thank you and your wallet won't be hurting that much either! I got a dress, a skirt, and two tops and spent 55 dollars! Woohoo! I have pictures but I think I posted enough in this post so I'll put them up later. After work and Shredding, we had a great Father's day dinner with portobello mushroom burgers (they were delish!) and potato salad with carrot cake for dessert, and then I watched True Blood which was FANTASTIC! Was it just me or was this ep funnier than ususal? I found my self laughing alot and I am obsessed with Eric's new haircut! I also found Bill SO HOT when he was screaming at Sookie and pissed off at the end of the ep....next week looks so good! Have a great Monday and stay dry!

So while I was being completely lazy this morning watching the Travel Channel and online window shopping (one of my favorite activities EVER!!) I stumbled across a new site called The Outnet which is Net-A-Porter's outlet site. Now I love Net-A-Porter but everything there is TRES expensive and is one of those sites that I love to look at but never buy anything. Now a lot of things on the Outnet are still really expensive but there are some really great deals on there. I LOVE these three Tibi dresses that I found on there

Ame and Lulu

Ok so over the weekend I have fallen in love with Ame and Lulu bags. I've heard of them before when I was on Girly Twirly gifts (which is one of my fav websites EVER) but I really discovered them when I went to their website. Even though I already have WAY too many duffle bags, and bags in general I am slightly obsessed with all of their cute prints and patterns. Some of my fav are:

 

Both of the duffle bags are from last year's line which are now on sale (yay!) and the other prints are from this years line and also come in duffle bags, makeup bags etc. Hopefully these fun prints will brighten up your day...I don't know about anyone else but the weather's pretty gross here today and tomorrow it's supposed to SNOW (ew)!!
