Well after an exciting, overwhelming, sad, and basically just amazing two weeks, the craziness that is the end of senior year has finally ended. Finals week came and went (and I got my final grades back on Thursday which means that I have passed everything and officially graduated) and graduation weekend was an absolute blast. On the Friday of graduation weekend my housemates and I hosted a party for our friends and family, and then Saturday was the big commencement for everyone and the small ceremony for the Arts and Sciences college. The actual ceremonies were such a blur but one thing I do remember is that it was COLD! The big ceremony outside was so painful to sit through that the President ended it early which was welcomed! Sunday was filled with packing up the house and then my dad, friends, and I went out for one last dinner.
Driving away from the place where I spent the best four years of my life was really one of the hardest things ever, but as much as I miss everything about college, I really am excited to move and start my new job. On Monday my dad and I started the drive back to Boston, but stopped in Cleveland to find my new apartment. After a LOT of searching I found it and I can't wait to post pictures of it when I move in. My dad and I got back last Tuesday and then on Thursday, a couple friends and I went to Florida this past weekend for one last getaway. This weekend was SO much fun and I can't wait to post pictures as soon as I upload them! I got home yesterday, so today I'm basically just relaxing and catching up on tv that I missed while I was away. I also really need to actually unpack from school, so that I can start repacking to move again. So once again these next couple weeks are going to be crazy again but I think that I can finally start keeping up with blogging, and I'm excited to get back to reading all of yours. I think that's going to be it for today but I also wanted to say a huge CONGRATS to all of the other (college, high school, grad school etc) graduates out there!

Happy Green Beer Day!
All schools have fun traditions and celebrations, and today my school is having one of my FAVORITE all time celebrations. Today is Green Beer Day, which is a long standing tradition that takes place the Thursday before spring break starts. It started because St. Patrick's Day used to fall during our spring break (it doesn't anymore) and is basically just a fun way to celebrate the start of spring break! Basically what happens is that you drink all day (not that I'm saying this is a good thing!) and all of the bars start serving at 5:30am. My friends and I have never been up that early to celebrate, so were planning on getting up at 4am to be there bright and early. I absolutely LOVE this tradition, and think that it's one of the best events during the school year. What are some traditions at your school that you love?
And here is my last spring break clue (You guys are REALLLY close!)
Clue 3: There are over 25 miles of beaches (thanks Google!)

Still Here!
Sorry about being slightly MIA lately school just started and I'm busy with the last couple days of sorority recruitment so I might not be back until this weekend. I can't believe that I just had my first day of second semester yesterday and that I'm a second semester Senior...ew. For those of you who are back I hope you're having a good first week and those on vacation, well, I'm so jealous! Sorry for the short post but I'll be back with much more this weekend!

Let It Snow!
I hope that everyone on the East Coast is enjoying this very snowy weekend! It's snowing like crazy right now and I for one am LOVING it. I think my mom and I are going to bake cookies and watch holiday movies today, and then later as long as the roads are OK were going to head out to a restaurant near Sturbridge which is so pretty and very "holiday-y." I can't wait and I think it's going to be GORGEOUS with the snow! I am so happy to finally be done with finals and have a couple weeks off to just relax. I have a bunch of fun things planned for this break and am very excited to head out to Palm Springs CA with my family for New Years!
So I feel like I haven't written an actual post and "talked" with all of you in forever! So many fun things have happened so in the interest of not having a post that's 8 years long here's a quick recap:

So I feel like I haven't written an actual post and "talked" with all of you in forever! So many fun things have happened so in the interest of not having a post that's 8 years long here's a quick recap:
- We had our semi-formal the first weekend in December and it was SO much fun! It was held at this really cool little bar, and the atmosphere was great. The bar owners were so generous and had an open bar for us too which made it that much better haha. I know a couple of you were wondering what dress I chose but stupid me forgot to bring my camera cord home so here is the only (good) picture I could find on facebook!

- I had my third and final job interview and it went so well! They were so welcoming and friendly and the two people I talked to were great. After the interview they told me that I would recieve an email letting me know if I was still being considered for the position, and last week I got that email! So now all I have to do is wait which sucks, and keep applying for other jobs, but I REALLLY want this one so hopefully it will come through!
- The Saturday before finals, my friends and I took a study break and went to Macaroni Grill which was so delish, and afterwards went to Target to look around. Well, I had seen many of my sorority sister's with these Frye boots, and had been trying to find the Target version for FOREVER, and I finally found them! It was a nice to buy myself a little treat before finals!

Target's Version

- Yesterday I went out to breakfast with my bff C, and then went Christmas shopping in Boston. It wasn't as crowded as I thought which was really nice, and I'm so happy that I'm almost done with everything. I can't believe that Christmas is less than a week away!

Highs and Lows
I don't know about all of you but Thanksgiving Break, seriously could not come soon enough. Between school, riding, activities, and still trying to have a social life (a definite FAIL) last week was completely crazy. Here are some of the highlights of the past week-ish (and I'll start with the lows first because it's best to get those out of the way!)

Lows
- The Horseshow at _____ (they know who they are haha)- The horseshow that our team went to the weekend of the 13th was seriously one of the WORST shows ever. Personally I rode pretty well and was overall very happy with both my ride and my horse (although even though I love the color pink if I get another 5th place I will flip out) but the judge was seriously HORRIBLE. In one class all 3 of our riders didn't place (and two of them definitely should have) and the school that was hosting the show, and prides themselves on having an amazing equestrian program, didn't have the courtesy to start even remotely on time. We have to go back there in February and I'm really not looking forward to it.
- School- I think the Communication department at my school made a pack to kill all of their students right before Thanksgiving. I have not had that much work in my life and am really not looking forward to finals...although I think they actually might be easier to handle than last week was!
- Mental Breakdowns- Last Wednesday was a really LONGGG day that ended with me crying on the phone to my dad while walking to the library, going to two meetings with makeup all over my face, then coming home, drinking a glass of wine (by myself. in my room. in the dark), getting a McFlurry, drinking more wine, falling asleep and then waking up at 3am to do work that was supposed to be emailed at 12 am. Solid.
- BRUUUUCE- The Bruce Springsteen concert was seriously the most AMAZING concert I have ever seen in my entire life. He played the entire Born to Run Album (with Prove It All Night and Jungleland being AMAZING) and then played (among a ton of other fantastic songs) Because the Night and Born in the USA...I seriously DIED. What made the night even better was that S, M, and I went to this bar across the street, both before and after the concert, that played great music and was overall a TON of fun!
- New Moon- My friends and I went to the midnight showing on Thursday and it was amazing...SO much better than Twilight! It's funny though, although I liked it at the time, the more I think back on it the more I realize I absolutely LOVED it, and I really want to go and see it again...although that's not going to happen right now because none of my friends at home having gotten into the series. They have no idea what they're missing haha!
- A Third Interview- After having a second interview the week before, and not hearing back all week about whether or not I got a third, and final interview (which partly contributed to my breakdown on Wednesday), on Friday I found out I got a third interview with this company! The interview is a week from Wednesday, and although I'm REALLY nervous, I can't wait. The job is similar to what I did this summer (digital marketing) and I think that I would be really great in this position. Keep your fingers crossed!

Busy Busy

My professors have decided that the best way to get us ready for the Thanksgiving break is to literally KILL US this week with work...I have 5 papers, 2 tests, and 1 group project due before I leave on Friday and I literally have NO idea how I'm going to make it through. I do have a midnight showing of New Moon to look forward to on Thursday and I'm SOOO excited for that! There's going to be no Tunes Tuesday this week (I know you're all SO sad haha) and I don't think I'm going to post again until I get home but I hope you all have a great week, and enjoy New Moon if you're seeing it this weekend. Oh and Bruce was absolutely AMAZING...seriously the BEST concert I have ever seen...MUCH longer recap on that plus pictures later!

My Crazy Busy Weekend
I'm sure I left you all hanging on Monday wondering why I was up for 30 hours (well once I actually went to bed it was 34 haha) right? (haha) Ok well here is the story of my VERY long weekend. I think I've talked about this before but just in case, let me reiterate something: I HATE MY BLACK WORLD STUDIES CLASS! I took this class for two reasons: one, it was for a general requirement and was the only one I could get into in the last minute, and two, it actually sounded interesting.
What I didn't know going into it was that my professor is a self described "a-hole" and he admitted today (proudly) that he's been working on that title for 20 years. So last week when he announced that we would have a 20 page paper due as our midterm I immediately thought no problem. However he then threw in a twist: the assignment for the paper would be emailed out on Friday afternoon, and would be due on Monday by 5. Like are you kidding me...4 DAYS for a 20 page paper? Normally this would be annoying but whatever I would just be a hermit for the weekend...the major problem with this weekend was that my school was hosting our home horseshow so I litterally had NO time to work on it.
So the horseshow went well, and our horses were fabulous, despite some very, um, INTERESTING riding done by the other teams haha, but I literally had no time to work on the paper Saturday night because by the time I got home I was so tired from showing, working, and being up since 6am and I also had to get up on Sunday morning at 630am. Sunday comes, and the horses are great again, however by the time that everything is done, I don't end up starting my paper (and by starting I literally mean starting the research) until 5pm.
Long story short I work on my paper throughout the night, go to my 10am class (why I don't really know...I was so out of it I almost fell out of my chair), come back, finish the paper at 4pm, and fall asleep on the couch at 430pm. So stressful but at least this story has a happy ending: My professor had graded the papers already (I know I have no idea how he got them all done either) and I got an 85! Not my finest grade on a paper but I'm pretty happy with it (especially for such a last minute attempt.) It was a very relieving way to end the day and a great way to go into my fall break which starts tomorrow...which means that the next time I blog I'll be back in Boston!!

A Long LONG Day

Do you ever have those days that you dread before they even start? Today is DEFINITELY one of those days. I have a full day of classes (10-11, 1115-1245, 2-4, 5-630), career fair (from 3-7) that I have to squeeze in between my afternoon classes, uncooperative professors (I told my professor of my 5pm class that I had to go to career fair, obviously so I can get a job, and he said that he guessed it was "ok" if I came late but I had to make sure to come today. Ummm I'm sorry not to be rude but buddy you teach a freshman 100 level class that I have to take for a general requirement and I have to get a job!) an equestrian team workout at 8pm, and then going from the rec to the library so that I can study all night for a microbiology final that I have tomorrow. Not to mention the fact that I'm carrying two bags with my books for today and my interview clothes so I kinda look like a bag lady haha.
WHEW! I'm seriously tired just from writing all of that! Literally the only thing that is getting me through today is knowing that Grey's is tomorrow, and I'll have a nice (big) glass of wine when I'm watching it...haven't yet decided if that makes me an alcoholic or not haha! I also can't WAIT for Friday because that's when my housemate and I will be making a pilgrimage to the new Nordstroms thats opening in our area!! Anyhoo sorry for the early morning babble, and I hope you all have a great wednesday!!

The Farewell Tour
I just realized that I never really did an official "start of school" post so because Fall is JUST around the corner (yay!) and it's September 2nd, I decided to do one today (in case you were wondering the title refers to this quote from the OC when Summer compares their senior year to a "farewell tour".... but you probably didn't care that much haha.) Anyhoo this semester I'm definitely going to be BUSY! I'm taking about 18 credit hours which rounds out to about 6 classes...one of them is a shorter class and is going to end September 24 (and I can't WAIT to watch Grey's that night to celebrate) so that will definitely lighten up my load a bit!
This semester I'm taking:
Intro to Organizational Communications (so far this is seriously the most WORTHLESS class I've ever taken but hopefully it will get better)
Conflict Communications (I actually like this one)
Communications Theory and Research (any class with "theory" in the title is def going to be zzzz)
Labortory Diagnosis of Disease (probably not the best choice for a hypochondriac but at least this will end soon!)
Intro to Black World Studies (had to take it for a gen requirement but the prof is funny which is good...WAY too much work for a 100 class however)
Consumer Behaviors (eh...so far so good)
I'm also involved with my campus' chapter of PRSSA, my sorority (I'm one of the chairs of pref round...we don't rush until 2nd semester which is nice because we have LOTS of time to get ready), and hopefully a third thing but I don't want to jinx it so I'll let you all know when I find out! So that's my semester...it's going to be VERY VERY busy (I'm already behind on reading haha) but hopefully good and I can actually learn some things! What are you all doing/taking this fall?
xoxo

PS~ last night I sacrificed some of the reading that I had to do to watch The Strangers with some of my housemates...oh MAN it was SCARY!!! Has anyone else seen it...what did you think?

First Sign of Fall
I had a break between classes today so after I finished my lunch, I decided to sit outside the building enjoying the HOT but beautiful weather. I was reading one of my textbooks when I noticed this:

WOOHOO! Even though it is only late August I am SO happy that some of the trees on campus are starting to change, and I can't wait until all of these trees look like these:

Fall is my absolute FAVORITE season, and I can't wait for the beautiful, cool weather, pumpkins, apple cider, sweaters, and (most importantly haha) my birthday! Next week around here it's supposed to be in the 60s which is just another sign that Fall is right around the corner!

On a completely different note I am SO happy that the first week of classes is over! Even though I wasn't the best on doing all of my homework this week (I really need to catch up on reading this weekend!) I feel like I have been running around all week so I can't wait to just RELAX for the next couple days. I don't really think I have a ton of huge weekend plans so I would love to hear if any of you all do and have a fantastic weekend!

I'm Finally Unpacked!
After 5 days, MANY suitcases and boxes, and 10 episodes from the first season of True Blood, I am FINALLY unpacked!! Sorry for the unexpected blogging hiatus but after getting back to school on Wednesday I have been SOO busy seeing everyone and getting my room back in shape that I literally went on my computer for the first time yesterday! The past couple days have been such a blur with going out a little too much, and catching up with everyone, and I am DEF feeling it today haha so today I'm relaxing with my housemates watching SATC movie, catching up on Reader, and hanging out before going out to dinner tonight to celebrate M's birthday and the start of the school year. Many more pictures will be coming but here is a little sneek peek of my room.

I hope you all have had a great past week, and to those in college, a great start to the school year!

Question
Is it a problem it I leave for school in less than 24 hours and I haven't really started packing yet? This weekend was SO much fun, and I did get a lot of things done for going back to school (ie shopping haha) but packing wasn't really one of them. Friday I didn't really do much but on Saturday my dad and I had our annual back to school shopping trip that we've been taking together since I was little. Yes, I may be a little too old to do back to school shopping with my dad, but I love spending time together, and on top of that I got some really cute things (especially the Jcrew Ikat skirt which is ON SALE...WOO!) Saturday night we had a bunch of friends over for a cookout and yesterday my family and I went to Rockport which was SO pretty! So lots of fun this weekend but sadly no packing was done which means that it will be a LATE night!
Today my mom and I have been running last minute errands, and on top of everything else, I have to go to AT&T to get my phone fixed because it chose today of all days to break on me (typical.) So that's going to be it for me today (and probably the next couple days) but I hope you all had a GREAT weekend, and I would like to leave you all with this gem from Grease 2 (you all know how much I love that haha.)
Don't you wish that every school year could start with singing and dancing?

A To Do List and an Award
I can't believe that this summer is almost over and I'm leaving for my SENIOR (AHHH) year a week from tomorrow. Obviously I'm sad to leave my family (as I always am) but I can't WAIT to get back and have fun for my last year (and maybe learn some things too haha) I'm a huge procrastinator when it comes to packing and normally I start doing all the things I need to do seriously like 2 days before I leave but this year I'm actually going to try to start ahead of time! Ok here are all the things that need to get done before I leave (all of these may or may not happen haha)

The other major thing that happened today (besides the Sox just winning...YAY finally!) is that Mrs. Potts at Experiments in a Galley Kitchen gave the social butterfly award to some of her most recent followers and I was one of them!

This is such a fun award! I never really thought about it but I absolutely LOVE meeting new people and hosting parties so maybe that does make me a bit of a social butterfly! Here are my instructions: Please take this award, place it on your blog, and share it with whomever you wish. I'm taking Mrs. Potts lead and giving it to new followers whose blogs I just discovered and you should too!

FINISHED!!!!

So this post is a little late in coming but as of 2pm yesterday I am officially on summer vacation and FINISHED with my junior year!! YAHOOO (well on the first part...the second i'm pretty sad about and can't even think about the "S" word yet haha) Right now I'm in Ann Arbor MI for my dad's godson's graduation from Med School, and it is SO nice to just be relaxing in bed this morning know that I don't have to do ANYTHING but just have fun today! My dad, I, his best friend, and daughter are all going to walk around the Michigan campus today (both my dad and his BFF went to Michigan and were roommates and can't WAIT to show us around) and this afternoon is the graduation which will be so great.
Tomorrow my dad and I (my mom is at home with the new dog) will start the VERY long road trip back to Boston so I'm sure you all will definitely get some updates from the road from me!! Congrats to all the Collage grads out there, and also to everyone who finished with their finals. I also want to thank everyone in the blogworld for their great support and to Gracie Beth for her finals prayer list... that was such a great idea!! Have a great Friday everyone!

Rain Rain...

GO AWAY! Ew it has been SO gross this week, and this rain has NOT been helping my very lazy mood that I've had lately. I'm done with all the work that I had this week and now I just have to get ready for FINALS that I have next week :( I just keep telling myself that in exactly one week I will be DONE...woohoo!!
Tonight I have my last family dinner of the year. I am so sad that my big is graduating and I will miss her so much next year! Anyone else SO excited for the Lily Pulitzer/Kenneth Jay Lane/ CC Skye sales at RueLaLa tomorrow? I really really CAN'T buy anything right now but it never hurts to look right? ;)
So that's about it...sorry I've been MIA on posting/commenting/basically all bloggy activities. I probably will have a post this weekend with pictures but then that's probably it until I'm done however I might post another Procrastination post or two! Good luck to everyone preparing/going through finals right now!

Under Pressure....
No I'm not talking about the Bowie/Queen song (although I LOVE that song and am humming it to myself right now haha) but about the fact that I have come to the realization that I cannot do any work of any kind unless I have an EXACT deadline that is rapidly approaching. Case in point: one of my good friends and sorority sister just called me to see if she could borrow my computer cord to use for the rest of the night because hers is broken. Even though I have had ALL DAY to work on this project that is due tomorrow, knowing that I will only have a couple hours until my computer dies has given me the motivation to finish this project [although I'm not doing a very good job since I'm blogging right now ;)] Bah....does anyone have any advice on how to work ahead instead of being a horrible procrastinator like me?
Anyhoo in other news I had a FABULOUS weekend! A very long post (with pictures!) will be coming tomorrow but for tonight I wanted to go into a rant. I have come to the conclusion that people are RUDE and this fact makes me kinda sad. Two examples to back this up: 1.) My friends and I were standing at this bar on Friday night waiting to get served. One of my friends who was ahead of me stepped back to let me get through, and as I was stepping back to let them get by, this guy came out of NOWHERE (and I mean I think he literally ran from the entrance to the actual bar) and completely cut all of us! When my friends and I (politely) told him that his response was "that sucks"....RUDE!!! 2.) At the same bar (which has an outdoor patio) I was walking inside, and this guy smoking a cig in back of me flicks it and totally burns my foot. While I'm hopping up and down and trying to go back outside he turns to me and goes "Oh baby did I do that?" Ok so first off I don't know you and am definitely NOT your baby and second of all yes you did and it would be nice if you apologized...RUDE! 3.) (I just thought of one more incident) Last weekend my housemates and I threw a very informal "beer olympics" with many sorority sisters (including freshman girls who we don't know that well) coming over. Even though we didn't have many games we thought that everyone had a great time until one of my housemates saw that the the caption under a picture that a freshman girl took and posted on facebook said "most disorganized beer olympics ever" Um ok since when has it been ok to come to a house with people that you don't know very well and then criticize them??? RUDE!
Whew rant is now over!! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend with this beautiful (i think it was warm in most areas) weather!
